A dynamic City Growth Portsmouth toolkit was launched in February. The toolkit contains facts, testimonials and photographs that describe a brand shift for our area and can be used by everybody wishing to describe or promote the Portsmouth city region.
Two directors from the highly influential 'London First' met with local business representatives from Portsmouth to advise on business engagement in the city region. With the end of the City Growth Portsmouth programme and changes in funding for the Partnership, Sunny Crouch MBE and Michael Rooney were able to say how local companies can influence strategic issues that will ensure continued growth in the Portsmouth sub region.
Partnership staff completed a 3 month study into the feasibility of converting a rural activity centre for mental health service users in Dorset into a thriving social enterprise that promotes mental wellbeing for all. The study was carried out for the Dorset Mental Health Forum and presented to the Primary Care Trust who must now consider whether to support the proposal. Architect, Carl Leroy-Smith of Deer Park Alpha and lanscape designer Lionel Fanshaw of Terra Firma Consultancy provided inspirational drawings to upgrade the 3 acre rural site.
