This is a private sector-led approach to economic regeneration, resulting from an evidence base that helps to define where growth is being generated within the local economy. The strategy published those business concerns and issues that hinder growth and the ways in which they can be addressed. This market-led approach to urban revitalisation builds on competitive advantage and strengths rather than focusing on local weakness and need.
