The Objectives 

  1. To develop the capacities and skills of socially and economically excluded and disadvantaged groups and individuals within Portsmouth and South East Hampshire (the "area of benefit") so that that they are better able to identify, help meet their needs and participate more fully in society.

  2. To promote for the public benefit urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation in the area of benefit, in particular the local authority areas of Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport and Fareham.


 




Our Employment Scheme workers have been making progress on the Round Tower in Old Portsmouth where new decking has been laid in preparation of the historic attraction to be opened to the public. 

Plastering and painting has also begun on Southsea Castle for its reopening in Spring 2011.

Our Team

The Employment Scheme has proved really positive for the participants who have been given the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience in a variety of roles.

Chloe Barton

Worked: As Business Champions Assistant at The Partnership

Duties:  Organised events and meetings, liaised with business representatives and community groups and matched them according to their skills and needs, collected feedback on projects, managed page on the company website, wrote and distributed e-newsletters.

Comments:  “The Employment Scheme has given me the opportunity to work in a role with lots of responsibility giving me lots of different skills and providing me with a better chance of getting another job after my contract ends”

Worked: As Front of House Receptionist.

Duties: Day to day running of the reception desk. Marketing and survey distrabution.
